Hello everyone. Everything is still going good for me. I am down a total of 10.5 pounds in just three weeks!
My personal trainer Barb Biltz of NOMS Fitness Center is mixing up my workouts now. She kicks my butt some days. I love it, though. I have actually asked her a couple of times to push me even harder, and she does.
I like to leave the gym feeling like I have really worked out; some things are starting to come very easy for me. It is really nice to see the change 10 pounds has made.
I also want to take the time to thank all of the people who support and follow my story. I never thought so many people would recognize me in the public. No matter where I go there is always someone who congratulates me on my progress. There are a lot of people who were not aware of the FIT Challenge and I hope I inspire them to apply next year.
I also want to thank all the members at NOMS Fitness Center who attend the classes with me as well as the members who stop and talk to me. It’s nice because they all say I inspire them, but the truth is, they inspire me. A lot of them are seniors and to see all that they do makes me look at myself, at my age. I look at it as if they can do it, so can I.
My husband joins me at the gym when his schedule permits. It’s nice to be able to share that time together. My mom attended my Pilates class with me recently. She is still hurting! She enjoyed herself and plans to continue going. Ellyn (from last year's FIT Challenge) also joined me during one of my aqua classes at the YMCA this week. She loved it! She said she wished she would have tried a class a long time ago.
As you can see, I have support all around me and it is making my journey so much easier and fun. I hope everyone has a great week and remember I will be featured again on Feb. 8 in the paper.
