I had another good week. I am down a total of 8 pounds. I hit my goal for the month in only two weeks!
I didn’t make it to the pool Jan. 17 or Jan. 20, but I was still able to meet my goal because I lost 2.6 pounds.
It’s interesting to see the difference some activities or diet changes can make to your ending number. For me, it’s all about finding a healthy balance.
I have another change I want to add to my workout this week. I want to see the difference it may make. I’m working hard, but at the same time I want to keep it interesting. I would think anyone would get bored with something after doing it over and over again.
I was able to have my metabolism checked Jan. 22. The results are very informing. I have a three percent above normal metabolism. The results include the calories I burn during 30 minutes of moderate exercise, my daily activity and number of calories my body burns at rest. Along with that information, the test provides the number of calories I am able to take in to lose weight.
One interesting thing the test provides is how long it would take for me to get my weight down to 170 pounds just by my diet and how long it would take if I added the exercise. The tested predicted it would take 36 weeks (45 without exercise). With that being said, it averages out to 2.6 pounds a week and that’s right on track with my goal.
So to correct the headline of my last blog, my goal to lose 100 pounds is far from little. It’s the healthiest way for me to get fit and STAY that way!
