BLOG: Guerra: 'We are all winners'

The year is coming to an end and I have to say I started out this year at the top of the roller coaster when I was chosen for FIT Challenge and have somehow managed to stay at the top through the end of the year.

I have achieved two of my lifelong goals this year. The first is losing the weight. That is a goal that is achieved and will continue to improve as the next year approaches.

The other goal was to buy my own home. This past week we got the keys to the house and this weekend we will start moving it.

Talk about physical workout. Forget the gym. Moving in itself is a whole ton of exercise all rolled into one. And on top of that I did manage to meet with my trainer, Ken Cutcher of Anytime Fitness, all three times this past week. I really do enjoy the workouts. He keeps them fun and very upbeat.

I look forward to taking what I have learned from both Kevin Gallagher, also a trainer at Anytime Fitness and Ken Cutcher. They are both very knowledgeable trainers and they are what has helped me to get a little more than halfway to my goal.

The request for new contestants appeared in the Sandusky Register on Dec. 14. I am really looking forward to seeing who is chosen and watching the success in the coming year.

And although there are two weeks left in this competition, I would like to congratulate Gary and Ellyn on a job well done and thanks for giving me the encouragement and strive to complete this challenge. Like we have all said, in the end, we are all winners!
