It’s hard to believe that we are moving toward the end of the eighth month of the FIT Challenge. I am pleased that the weight loss is a little better.

Derek Nimrichter of Bodi N Balance is pushing me harder, so the weight is starting to come off again – although slower than I want. We worked out Aug. 17 and Aug. 20, pushing hard to keep up the heart rate during the sessions.

I must admit I am working harder and I have left the gym sore a couple of the days.I wasn't able to work with Derek on Aug. 21, but kept with the cardio on the days when not working with Derek.

These next two weeks, I will try to ramp it up a couple notches to increase the weight loss. I am still a minimum of 20 pounds from where I want to be. I know I must push even harder as the end of the competition is in sight.

I am still very pleased with the improvement in my overall health! I am amazed at the comments from others about my weight loss. I saw pictures from several years ago and pictures from my daughter’s wedding this past February - what a change.

I don't ever want to go back to that state of health. I should post some of the pictures on my refrigerator and at work to keep reminding me of how far I have come on this journey to improved health.
