So, this month for me has had its ups and downs. I do realize that Memorial Day and my birthday (June 27) have been my biggest downfalls. Through just those two occasions, I have managed to gain 10 pounds.
But needless to say, even after the gain, I still have lost quite a bit for the month.
Part of me kicks myself in the butt after these holidays/birthdays. I look back and think, "Why did I eat that? or did "I really need to have that?" But to me you have to enjoy yourself every once in awhile. And for me, taking it off comes pretty easy. I can usually get that weight gain off, plus some within the first week.
My workouts with my trainer, Kevin Gallagher of Anytime Fitness, are definitely increasing in intensity. I don't know how many times in a workout I shake my head no that I can't do something.
But then Kevin shakes his head yes and I get to work. I have really amazed myself at how far I've come in the past six months. Even when doing leg presses, I press 190 pounds. I thought to myself, "Holy cow, I'm almost pressing my entire body weight!"
And as for anyone that was curious whether or not I achieved my 50-pound birthday goal in time, I did. I was actually at 53 pounds lost when my birthday came on June 27, but then again, I gained a little back when I weighed in June 28.
So, I still have a few days to take it off, so I guess you will all have to wait to see the FIT Challenge in the Register to know my accomplishment for the month.
