Well, I went to “Finnegan’s Farewell” at the Sandusky State Theatre on Friday night with six of my co-workers and my Mom.
It was F-U-N fun!
If you didn’t go, you missed a great time. If it’s ever offered again, be sure to set your nickels and dimes aside, so you’re sure to have your money saved the next time it comes to town.
Finnegan’s Farwell included a full Irish dinner and it was interactive. For those of us who weren’t so keen on pork and cabbage, they had another entree.
The interactive part was a blast. The actors behaved as if they knew each of us in the audience. They tried to console us, tried to make us feel like we belonged, and they did a darn good job making us feel “at home” with the dysfunctional Finnegan family.
We ate, some of us drank (not me - just my mom), and we danced. I did “The Bump,” a little polka and a little slow dance number with “Bucky” who was the "mortician," whose wife was a taxidermist.
I even got my hair done at the dinner table by the family “cosmetologist-in-training.” She was only allowed to do hair on dead people, until she got her license. We both took a risk and she demonstrated her hair styling abilities on me. She was a stitch!!
So tell me, did you go? What did you think?
