FIT CHALLENGE: Grant participates in heart walk

I had a great week; it went by fast!  The weather was really nice and hot, but it’s better than rain and being cold.

This past Thursday I weighed in; I lost weight and some inches.  I bet you’re wondering how much I’ve lost, 6 pounds with a total weight loss of 30 pounds, which puts me at 209 pounds.

This past Saturday, I participated in the 2012 Huron County Heart Walk held at Veterans Memorial Lake Park.  The walk was a 2-mile walk, which was to benefit the American Heart Association.  It was hot while walking, but I kept up with Jessica Clum the Anytime Fitness manager in Norwalk.  After the walk I felt good dress and energized!

So, my mother and grandmother bought me some pants and shirts to match since my church clothes were very big on me.  This was tough because the material the dress pants is made of different material, so I had to go up a size in my waist.

I am having a lot of fun with the workouts.  I am getting them done and over with, with time to spare to get cardio in before leaving the gym.  Talking about working up a sweat, which I do for sure and I don’t let it stop me.  My personal trainer Ken Cutcher of Anytime Fitness keeps me going when he sees that I want to give up and tells me “finish strong,” which I do.

Check me out today's Register!  A lot of people who I haven’t seen in awhile are so proud of what I have accomplished with my weight loss.  I am so grateful to have an opportunity like this.  I am a winner already and so are fellow contestants Carla and Craig. We have conquered obesity, improved our lives and inspired others.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me since Day 1 when I started the challenge and I hope you continue to support me  even when the challenge ends.
