FIT CHALLENGE: Ontko celebrates Mother's Day with a workout

I just finished a good week.  I was weighed and measured on Friday and my hard work is paying off.  I lost 6 pounds and several inches since my last weigh-in three weeks ago. 

My daughter Allie graduated from BGSU last Friday and we had our family and friend’s together at the patio behind Cameo for a wonderful get-together.  I love when we can all make time to do that.  Angie was there from the Register to take a few pictures for a future feature.  I made a mixed fruit bowl that was delicious and refreshing.   

Then Sunday was Mother’s Day.  I started out working on the Indo Row at Bodi N Balance. Then I ran 3 miles getting ready for the 5K that I will be running in two weeks.  That was my first time going 3 miles. I later went out to eat with my daughter Laura and her family, and spent time with my children and just relaxed.  The weekend was then topped off with the final episode of "Desperate Housewives."   I’m going to miss that show.
I stopped at a store this weekend to pick up some flowers. When I was returning my cart to the cart stand I found myself running it back!  Funny thing – I’ve gone from not being able to run – to my body wanting to run!!

Craig and Derek, keep up the good work. We are all getting in better shape and learning so much from this awesome opportunity the Register has given us.  Thanks Register!



Wanting to run?  That is really something.  Keep up that pace!
