Woman raped by two men near Fremont
Ballville Twp.

Two men suspected of abducting and raping a 21-year-old woman are still on the loose, according to police.

The woman was walking down Buckland Avenue in Ballville Township at about 2 a.m. Tuesday to go to a friend's house when two men in an older model dark green vehicle pulled up to her, according to Sandusky County Sheriff's detectives.

The woman told detectives the men asked her if she needed a ride, but she refused. The men then pulled around the corner of Siler Street and waited for her to walk by. They grabbed her and threw her into the car, where they repeatedly raped her.

Detectives said the men then dumped the woman out of the car at the same location.

She was treated at Fremont Memorial Hospital.

Detectives said they believe the suspects are from the area. They are looking for witnesses and information that might lead to the men's arrest.

The first man is described as a black man with a very dark complexion, medium build and tightly braided hair.

The second man is black with a lighter complexion, medium build, curly hair, a mustache and a partial goatee described by the woman as similar to that of Colonel Sanders. The vehicle they drove is a four-door with a loud faulty exhaust system and a small rear compartment.

The woman's family is offering $500 for information leading to the arrest of the men involved in the brutal crime. The Sandusky County Sheriff's office will match that amount for a total reward of $1,000.

Anyone with information should contact Det. James Consolo at the sheriff's office, 419-332-2613.
