Was that really Fuqua yelling that crap?  I couldn't believe it either.  What an embarassment.

RE: Seriously

I agree 100%, and just to think that people of Sandusky voted for Fuqua.

I was with my family at the game last night and I saw no disgusting or direspectful behavior from our student section, "gavinbrooke". In fact, I saw the complete opposite. The Sandusky students were cheering on their team from beginning to end and they were having the time of their lives doing it! I will, say that although most Sandusky fans always display class and dignity at the games, there are several who don't. Calling out coaches and screaming at the head coach because you don't like play calls is just ridiculous. What fools! I was embarrassed for them and their kids. It was totally uncalled for and I think people need to band together at these games and drowned out the loud mouth wanna -be's who sit in the stands and do nothing but bash the coaches...Other than that, I think it was a fantastic game! Both teams showed up to play. I don't know "gavinbrooke", maybe you saw Avon kids crying because they just ended their "perfect" season to a 6-4 powerhouse team who they didn't see coming!!! Just a thought.

Anyway, Congratulations Blue Streaks and Coaches for an outstanding season...Your tough schedule throughout this season has helped prepare you for the playoffs. Best of luck to you at game 12!

Too bad a fantastic and classy performance had to be overshadowed by the disgusting and barbaric behavior displayed by the parents and student section after the game.  All the kids gave their hearts to the game, only to have sandusky fans embarrass their community by hurling insults and epithets at these poor kids.  I saw numerous avon kids, boys and girls alike brought to tears by this horrible behavior.  What has our city become????  I remember a time when our fans handled themselves with respect and dignity.  Apparently, they have all moved out. Shame on you Sandusky...Shame on you.

WOW. What a game!

Great job to both Sandusky and Avon football teams for the show they put on last night.  As you read or hear about the game today the name Strickland is gonna pop out.  What a game this young man had.  But if you were lucky enough to be there, you seen a complete team performance, " Defense, Special Teams, and Offense".  Make sure you make the next game, even if your not from Sandusky.

Now I want to discuss another performance you might have seen at the game last night.  Now lets just say that every football game has the "Armchair QB's" who yell from the stands because they don't agree with a play call, or who are frustrated because it just seems every things going the wrong direction.  We all have done it, its a show of passion or a display of concern and care.....

BUT...................  When you take it to the next level and single yourself out by coming out of the crowd to stand in front of people and scream at the top of your lungs about the play calling, and especially when you personally scream the name of the head coach..........................

YOU BECOME A COMPLETE ""EMBARRASSMENT"" to yourself and to the community.............

I normally do not single people out, but if you were there last night and you seen the way that this one person acted you know exactly who I am talking about.  Screaming at the top of his lungs yelling at coach Franklin. ,

THIS PERSON SHOULD PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE personally to coach Franklin and the rest of the staff, to the fans and people whom he so negatively represented.

And Especially to the "students and players" for the horrific example he showed last night!!!

SERIOUSLY !!

Awesome victory Streaks!!! It is great to see these kids rewarded for all the effort they have put in this year.  It would have been easy for some to pack it in playing that team in those conditions, but they did not.  Good luck next week, but realize you all have already done an excellent job representing your school this year.

What a great couple of years its been for sports at SHS, the current group of athletes (including those who graduated the last couple of years) have done an excellent job raising SHS back into conference races and now the state playoffs.  Its been a while since so many of the sports have had this success which makes their recent accomplishments even more impressive.  Many of these kids didn't grow up with the same expectations and peirs that kids do in some other schools.  These kids decided on their own (with the coaches and parents help of course) that they would not settle for mecorotity and have fought proudly on the field, court, diamond, in the pool or wherever their sport was played.

Hopefully the recent success of the football and other sports teams will spark interest from the younger, juveniles getting them involved in something other than running the streets.  That is up to us parents though to help guide them.  I think the jump to the new conference will help also as it appears to me that some of the schools are closer and may build more natural rivalrys to the kids.
