Storm warnings for region

Severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 9:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has now issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Erie, Huron and Lorain counties.

The storm warning is in effect until 10:15 p.m. The storm is capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.  Locations impacted are Norwalk, Fitchville, Lorain, Elyria, Milan and Willard.

Additionally, a flood advisory is in effect for Erie and Ottawa counties until 11:10 p.m.

The Weather Service has indicated this is a dangerous storm — seek shelter inside and stay away from windows.

Stop It

Bellevue had hail and severe t-storms. Streets flooded. Cars stranded by trying to drive through the high water.

This works every time...if your car stalls out from deep water, suck it up and get out, get your feet wet and spray all the wires and distributor under the hood with WD-40. The car will start but proceed slowly as not to wet everything down again.

It beats calling a tow.
