Across the region, communities quenched their cabin fever Tuesday by soaking in rays of sunshine and warm-but-windy weather.

For the first time in months, local temperatures hovered in the mid-60s for most of the day. It appears the warmup is here to stay, at least for a while.

Temperatures in at least the mid-40s are forecast for the rest of the week, with Friday likely returning to the 60s, according to AccuWeather. But don’t put the convertible top down or stash away your boots and coats just yet.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected through Friday.

The Register took a walk in Washington Park on Tuesday and asked some Sanduskians how they feel about the warmer weather, and specifically about their favorite part of springtime.
