The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Erie and Huron counties with accumulating snow through early Sunday.

* Accumulations of 3 to 7 inches.

* Snow and rain will change to all snow by late this afternoon.

* The most intense snow will be late this afternoon into tonight.

* The snow will taper off late tonight.

* Roads will become snow covered during the heavier snow. As temperatures drop this evening and tonight there will be a greater likelihood of icy or snow covered roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The winter weather advisory is issued for accumulating snow. While the weather will be significant, the word advisory implies that severe winter weather is not anticipated. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio for further details or updates.
