Meteorologists predict two to four possible inches of snow. Winds will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.
Visibility will be reduced from snow and drifting.
Snow accumulation could make roads slick. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and maintain additional distance between vehicles.
Temperatures will be in the low 30s.

BOO
I say it every year . Please slow down . The life you save maybe mine ; ) Be safe .
will do. You, too. Thanks. It's miserable already at 5 am.
Bring pets inside, get out the shovels and salt, its time.
I'm dreaming of a white christmas.!
Purchased a big snowblower last year. It never came out of my garage. You can thank me for last year's mild winter. I'm not sure Mother Nature will laugh at me again.
Same here, donut. Filled that sucker up with gas and lubed it all up last fall just to drain the gasoline this summer. And just did all the maintenance again. all ya gotta do is buy a real nice snowblower to keep the snow from ever happening.:)
Register always seem to enhance weather reports, just watched the Weather Channel which feeds direct from Nation Weather service, our area is predicted 1" of slush type snow, you know the type that doesn't drift and many times melts on the warm ground......
We obviously don't have a meteorologist on staff, so we rely on the national weather service. Here's the alert: http://forecast.weather.gov/show...
So, Swamp Fox, are you saying the Register just fabricated a Winter Weather Advisory and said it was from the National Weather Service?
LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!!!!
FYI: It is a blizzard when you can't see for ΒΌ of a mile and the winds are 35 miles per hour or more, plus the storm must be at least 3 hours to be classed as a blizzard....So, If any of these conditions are less, it is only a snowstorm "swamp fox".
I just watched the news online, they said rain today, changing to snow tonight. 1-2 inches possible, but they are saying the low tonight is only 37 so any snow we get will be slushy snow.

What did Jay say?
At 5 am today 12/20, it was blowing snow and VERY cold out. Please be careful out there. The roads are not slick yet, but wet and if the temperature starts to drop, they will be treacherous. The snow is blowing badly already.
Visablity will get bad quickly, so slow down some. The wind is cold and the snow feels like little daggars right now. Its heavy and wet.
Merry Christmas to all. We have all seen enough tragedy this last week, let us not see any more. Be safe and have a Merry Merry Christmas to one and all.
Kate
@donutshopdude...I would think you could simply talk at the snow and it would rapidly melt away
