Police confiscate drugs worth $29K

Vermilion police confiscated a haul of marijuana and its derivatives Friday afternoon in the city.

At about 3:45 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a Vermilion home, police said. Inside, 4.3 pounds of high grade marijuana, along with 28 grams of hashish butter was located.

Officers estimated the marijuana was worth about $27,600 street-value, while the butter was worth about $1,700, police said. Vermilion police were assisted by the Lorain County Drug Task Force and the United States Postal Inspectors Service.

Officers have yet to make an arrest in connection with the warrant, police said.
