Local residents will have more than orange barrels to avoid today as our visitors from the east, west and south make their way to Cedar Point today. The park opens for the season at 10 a.m. Pick up Sunday's Sandusky Register for more on opening day.

Two traffic areas to avoid:

First Street in Sandusky — the road is closed for construction, traffic is being diverted to Cleveland Road

Strub Road and U.S. 250 intersection — The right northbound lane of U.S. 250 is closed for construction

OSP has been clocking from the air along SR 4 this past week just FYI...

IT'S ME

If only SPD would do something about the tour busses and tractor trailers using Monroe Street as a short-cut instead of following rt6. And don't try and say the trucks are allowed if they are making deliveres on Monroe, I follow them all the way to rt2 and they don't make a stop.
