A one-car crash at Bogart and Ransom roads Friday night shut down traffic in that area until utility crews can clear the scene.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said alcohol was likely a factor when a vehicle went off Bogart Road and struck a utility pole. The driver didn't suffer life-threatening injuries, but was still taken by ambulance to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Ohio Edison crews were called to the scene because the collision knocked out power in the area.

County road crews are diverting traffic away from Bogart and Ransom roads. A detour route hasn't been determined yet, but motorists are asked to avoid that area for the time being.

The Entirety of Schenk Rd. was without power. Numerous people on Campbell St. as well as a portion of Bogart Rd. More than 17 people.... More like 100

This is a terrible time to be out of power with temperatures hovering around zero degrees.

Amazing how one person stopping for a drink and having way too much can then driving drunk puts so many people into the cold and and what did they do??????????? just had the bad luck of living where the idiot went off the road and knocked down a pole.

My thought let all those affected file a class action lawsuit against the drunk driver for all he/she has caused them and let the person pay that off for the next 10+ years. Probably that will axe their alcohol budget.

A class action lawsuit is taking it a bit too far, don't ya think?

Eph 2 8-10

Wondered why my lights flickered early last evening.

I wondered too why my lights flickered last night as far as Marshall Ave.

Just Thinkin

They will just slap the driver's hand,Say don't do that again be on your way,We all know that's true just read the paper you see it time and again, wonder if this person is a repeat offender, That should be included in a follow up story,

they should be identifying who the driver was at least. no class action lawsuit needed; just some fines and jail time.
