Westbound lanes of Ohio Turnpike now open

Multiple car and tractor trailer crash near U.S. 250.

UPDATE 4:41 p.m.
The crash has been cleared and now the Ohio Turnpike is open to traffic.

Traffic is being rerouted from a crash on the Ohio Turnpike about two miles west of U.S. 250.

Milan and Groton Township firefighters as well as Ohio State Highway Patrol, Erie County E.M.A. and the Erie County Sheriff's office are on the scene.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

Thanks Maggdi, we usually post them, our bad on this one.


We were on our way to Elyria Memorial Hosp to pickup my husband and we saw the turnpike was closed at Sandusky/Norwalk interchange they would not let us on the pike so we came back and went the bypass saw cars in the ditches but we made it and brought him home.
