• Alyvia is a 7- to 9-month-old female housebroken. Labrador mix. She is very shy and needs time to warm up to you. Available for adoption at 12:45 p.m. Friday, but names are being taken now.

• Alfred is a 5-month-old male pit bull  terrier mix, not yet housebroken. He is very sweet and loves cuddling. He needs to learn to walk on a leash. Available now (names taken first.)

• Myer is a 5-month-old male dachshund/basset hound mix, not housebroken yet. Loves to be around people and does great around other dogs and cats. He’s currently learning to walk on a leash. He’s just a puppy so he’ll need lots of attention. Available now, but names being taken first.

• Polly is a 2-year-old house broken, crate trained female Boxer/Pitbull mix. She is very sweet and likes to go for walks on leashes and play. Polly is a special-needs pup as she is deaf and requires just a little more attention. She will need a fenced in yard to keep her safe as she would have the potential to wander around.

• Pippa is a 3-year-old female boxer/pit bull mix. Pippa is hearing impaired and needs you to speak to her directly. She will also require a fenced in yard because she is unable to hear and could wonder off.

The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Adopting a dog costs $50, including license and first shots. 419-627-7607.
