Dogs available for adoption

The following dogs are available for adoption from the Erie County Dog Pound:

• Izzy, a 6-year-old housebroken, crate-trained female Jack Russell, is sweet and does well around children and cats. She prefers to be the only dog in the house. Available now.

• Tootsie is a 6-year-old housebroken, crate-trained female boxer. She does well on a leash, is full of energy and loves to be around people. Available at 10 a.m. Saturday.

• Pippa is a 3-year-old female boxer/pit bull mix. She is hearing-impaired and needs you to speak to her directly. She requires a fenced-in yard because she's unable to hear and could wander off. Serious inquiries only please. Available now.

• Daisy is a 1-year-old housebroken, crate-trained female Labrador pit bull mix. She is sweet and loves to be around people and other dogs. She plays with squeaky toys. Available now.

• Candy is a 5-month-old housebroken, crate-trained female pit bull. She is full of energy and requires a fenced-in yard. She does well with children, other dogs and cats. Available now.

• Dasher is an 8-year-old housebroken, crate-trained male Dachshund. He is shy and requires time to warm up to you. A meet and greet with him is necessary. Available at 11:30 a.m. today.
 
The Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave., Perkins Township, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Adopting a dog costs $50 including license and first shots. Call 419-627-7607.
