10 years ago, 2004: A caller to a Phoenix-area Taco Bell said he was a police officer and told the manager a thief was on the premises and ordered him to detain a female customer and strip search her in a back office. The caller, who had pulled the stunt dozens of times nationwide with alarming success, was an impersonator.
