50 years ago, 1963: Sandusky's marching Eaglettes captured a third place at their first attempt at the National Baton Championships in Milwaukee. The group competed with  30 other units from the U.S. and Canada.

25 years ago, 1988: More than 375 people gathered in Lorain to pay tribute to inventor, entrepreneur and philanthropist Louis Bettcher. The Firelands Area Council of Boy Scouts presented Bettcher with the Distinguished Citizen Award, the highest honor accorded by the organization.

10 years ago, 2003: Cedar Fair, parent company to Cedar Point, purchased The Harbour Marina from the Hoty Marine Group, part of Hoty Enterprises. Neither side would release the purchase price.

Oh, come on, Hollie Newton! Were you too lazy to find a picture of the Eaglettes? My sister was in the Eaglettes and the picture you posted is NOT them. You have posted a picture of the Perkins High School drill team (?). What a way to take away from a great accomplishment the 1963 Eaglettes made! Shame on you and your laziness.

Here's a link to the SANDUSKY REGISTER'S own article on the Eaglettes written last year. Maybe you could find a suitable picture there. Really, I should get paid for doing YOUR JOB!
