50 years ago, 1963: Sandusky Drive-in Theater announced "Buck Night" - an entire car admitted for $1. Playing at the theater was: "Ride The High Country" with Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott, "By Love Possessed" with Lana Tuner, and "Road To Hong Kong" with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.

25 years ago, 1988: S.E. Johnson Inc. construction crews installed the 1.6 million tons of steel girders on the Ohio 2 bypass bridge over the Huron River. The Ohio Department of Transportation said the deck for one side of the 2,600-foot span would be poured that fall.

10 years ago, 2003: Sandusky's Tess Drake survived the comic cut in "Last Comic Standing." She was one of 10 comics selected to live in the Los Angeles mansion from more than 20 comedians who competed in the final round.
