50 years ago, 1963: Oran Wilson was named chairman of the action committee of the Central Business District Advisory Committee to improve Sandusky's run-down waterfront area. Plans included a mall shopping area on Columbus Avenue, one-way traffic restrictions, and tearing down some buildings to make way for off-street parking lots.
