50 years ago, 1963: Two Huron business owners complained to City Council on grounds that they were being discriminated against. Amico Carmel, owner of Anchor Inn, and Lloyd Robbins, operator of Pizza Hut, both on McKinley Street, claimed their customers were unfairly issued parking tickets.
25 years ago, 1988: Chrysler Corp. Chairman Lee Iacocca's book "Talking Straight" called Resident Reagan "warm and wonderful" but said he "delegated to a bunch of stooges then went off and rode horses." The book predicted the Democratic Party would recapture the White House in 1988, even "if they put up Mickey Mouse."
10 years ago, 2003: Fishermen at Willow Point State Wildlife Area, Margaretta, reeled in part of a human skull. They were fishing from the shoreline when they snagged on something in the lake. Once they managed to reel it in there was a piece of human bone comprised of upper jaw, nasal cavity and three molars.
