50 years ago, 1963: Christine Tye, Sandusky, was the lucky winner of the $100 "Cash in the Pocket" drawing at the Sandusky Plaza Shopping Center.

25 years ago, 1988: The Trivia Game 1, sponsored by the Sandusky Register and Cinema Club, announced winners. First place went to Bea David, Sandusky. She won one free movie rental a day for one year. Second place went to Bob Meyer, Huron, who won one free movie rental a week for a year.

10 years ago, 2003: Aaron Kowalski, St. Mary Central Catholic High School student, was named a United States Achievement Academy winner in physical education, history and government.

How long has it been since we've heard that phrase (Be Kind, Rewind)?

Remember when Blockbuster Video was still around and they would charge you for not rewinding your movie(s)? And yes, they still have stores although the closest one to Sandusky is on W. State St. in Fremont according to their website.
