The man’s girlfriend called police at about 2:45 a.m. and told them she and her boyfriend called the phone after it went missing from its holder, and then attempted to meet up with a man who answered, according to a Sandusky police report.
The couple and another woman drove to Burger King on Perkins Avenue to meet the man, who was accompanied by five others in a blue Ford Expedition when they arrived, according to the report.
The couple’s friend walked to the Expedition and the men first demanded money for the phone, according to the report. When the woman said she only had $10, they asked her for “sexual favors,” but she refused. They then drove off with the phone, heading west on Perkins Avenue.
The woman provided only a limited description of the suspects. Police have made no arrests.
