Rose Burlingame, 52, 1000 block Hancock St., was charged with aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct intoxicated. Jerry Cronk, 54, same address, was charged with disorderly conduct intoxicated and resisting arrest.
A woman confronted Burlingame at about 5:30 p.m., when she found Burlingame eating her freshly-purchased tomato inside their kitchen. Burlingame began cursing, then threatened the woman with a knife she was using to slice the tomato, according to a Sandusky police report
“I’m going to kill you” Burlingame allegedly said before charging at the woman.
Officers went upstairs to arrest Burlingame in her room, but Cronk came to the door and said “you’re not taking her anywhere” the report said.
Cronk stepped aside, but as officers left the residence with Burlingame in cuffs, they heard him yelling at the homeowner, the report said.
Officers told Cronk he was being arrested, but he said “no I’m not” and ran upstairs. Officers then forcefully took him into custody, the report said. Both were held at the Erie County jail overnight.
