Jenna Hinds’ winning time of 12 minutes, 31. 08 seconds paced six St. Mary Central Catholic runners in the top eight, as the Panthers topped Delaware Hayes in the Division I portion of Saturday’s Panther Run to Fun at Mills Creek Golf Course.
Hinds finished more than 13 seconds ahead of second place Alicia Rittenour — who ran 12:44.76 — of Delaware Hayes in the two-mile event. SMCC’s Kylie Finneran crossed the line in fourth (13:45.79), Ciara Fulton took fifth (14:08.22), Faith Lamb sixth (14:31.35), Lexi Pudolski seventh (14:40.09) and Caroline Linden was eighth at 14:52.33.
St. Mary’s Colin Printy (11:54.05) placed 17th in the boys Division II-III run as the Panthers were eighth (193 team points) in the 11-team run. James Cundari time of 12:31.01 was 34th-best for SMCC, foliowed by Hayden Farmer in 50th at 13:02.61, Carlos Torres in 55th (13:13.72) and Chris Dudenhoefer in 59th (13:19.44).
The Liberty Center duo of Colin Burns (10:40.81) and Joel Studer (10:45.59) took the top two spots as the Tigers (24 points), beat out Akron Hoban (61 points) for the team title.
Josh Stanley was 29th for 10th place Margaretta (234 points) with a time of 12:18.18. Also for the Polar Bears, John Harris placed 42nd at 12:46.93, while Logan Schroer was 52nd at 13:04.69 and Ben Rudolph was 58th at 13:16.29.
Danbury’s Alex Below was 87th (14:15.41) and Kyle Mumford crossed the line in 96th (15:10.69).
In the girls Division II-III race, Margaretta, led by Shea Lehrer’s run of 15:33.63, placed eighth with 210 points.
Race-winner Brittany Atkinson (11:40.80) paced four Liberty Center runners, which had five runners in the top six. The Tigers won with 16 points, followed by Fostoria St. Wendelin at 60.
The Polar Bear’s Kassidie Stimmel placed 41st (16:10.18), while Lydia Bias was 52nd (16:28.89), Sydney Pullano took 58th (17:13.85) and Kristina Fultz (17:54.80) and Jordan Cooksey (17:56.48) were 66th and 67th, respectively.
Danbury’s Mariah Below, running as a solo runner, placed 70th at 18:28.64.
