Sandusky police are investigating a sexual assault which allegedly occurred Thursday at an Adams Street home.

A man contacted police minutes before midnight Thursday to report the possible assault of his friend, a 23-year-old Dayton-area man, according to Sandusky police detective Ken Nixon. The man also said his friend may have been drugged, Nixon said.

The alleged victim later spoke with police. He said he’d met a Sandusky man in his fifties on an online dating site and had visited him regularly in the few weeks he’d been in town, Nixon said.

On Thursday night, the man allegedly tried to rape the 23-year-old at an Adams Street home, but the victim managed to avoid the assault.

Detectives were scheduled to meet with the victim on Tuesday, but he did not show up to the appointment, Nixon said.

Gee- lets see... You show up to some pervs house (repeatedly) after finding him on what was obviously a gay dating site- and then are amazed that something bad happens to you, hmm... go figure. Not saying these things should happen to anyone, but there's something to be learned here about exhibiting poor judgment and placing your own self in jeopardy.

So you're saying that gay people can't use online dating?

Blaming the victim. It's what we do.

You know, you will now lose your posting privileges for what are entirely too insensitive and considered hate speech against a protected class of people (though I never knew being homosexual was a class). Damn breeder! "Eyes roll".

+1. We should be allowed to treat homosexuals with contempt like we had been allowed to for centuries. It's bad enough we can't treat women and blacks like dirt anymore. Now gays? Wtf?

This easily could happen on a straight dating website. People are so judgemental and bias to things other than their own lifestyle. Get a grip. It's almost 2014.
