Students raise $15,000 for graduating seniors

Teen Leadership Corps Youth Council students from eight area schools assisted at the Teen Leadership Corps “Inspiration 2014” fundraiser March 16 at ThorSport Racing.

The event collected more than $15,000 to support area Teen Leadership Corps programs at local high schools and a scholarship fund for graduating seniors. Highlights of the annual event were inspiring leadership presentations from David Pepper, team manager of ThorSport Racing, Martin Tursky, president and CEO of Firelands Regional Medical Center, and Lou Ralofsky, president and CEO of NOMS Healthcare.

Students pictured at the fundraiser are from Bellevue, Huron, Fremont Ross, Monroeville, Perkins and Sandusky Central Catholic high schools, as well as EHOVE Career Center.
