A Sandusky woman awoke to find bullet holes in the side of her house Monday.

Around 11:30 p.m. the night before, the woman heard something hitting her house in the 300 block of E. Madison St., according to a Sandusky police report.

Not thinking it was a big deal, she went to bed. The next morning around 7a.m., the woman went outside to find three bullet holes near the front door, and one in a wooden post on the front porch, the report said. Officers believe a small-caliber handgun was used to cause the damage.

The woman went on to say there have been “issues” between her son and a local gang, the report siad. Officers searched the area for shell casings but did not locate any.
