A brawl involving about 30 people broke out early Sunday in and outside the Thirsty Pony on Cleveland Road.

Sandusky police charged five men with disorderly conduct for their roles in the melee.

They were:
•Michael Jessel, 21, Wakeman.
•Tavion Hollins, 24, of Cleveland.
•Marcus Williams, 39, of Cleveland.
•Patrick Mancinetti, 31, 100 block W. Cowdery St., Sandusky.
•Kristopher Jarvis, 36, North Ridgeville.

Police responded after multiple callers said fighting was going on inside and around the bar, a police report said. Officers first observed two men throwing punches at one another in a nearby parking lot.

They approached the men and took Jessel to the ground to place him in handcuffs, the report said. Hollins began to run, but two officers grabbed him. He was charged with resisting arrest in addition to disorderly conduct.

Mancinetti was cuffed after he allegedly grabbed an officer and told the officer to let Hollins go, the report said. The origin of the fight is unclear, but a bartender said Hollins first threw a bar stool at a woman, the report said.

He and Mancinetti were taken to the Erie County jail.

The others were served with summonses.
