A Port Clinton man who flagged down police in the 100 block of Columbus Ave. at about 2:30 a.m. was bleeding from his mouth and had a broken tooth, according to a Sandusky police report.

The man told police a man punched him in the mouth and then walked north on Columbus Avenue, according to the report. He described the suspect as a white man wearing a gray or brown shirt and a white baseball cap.

The suspect mentioned Mixed Martial Arts fighting, and when the man responded he earned a black belt in karate, the suspect punched him, the man said in the report. The man refused medical treatment and police were unable to locate the suspect.

Anyone with information can call police at 419-627-5863.

I wouldn't be in the 100 block of Columbus Ave at 2:30 a.m. I would be in Port Clinton asleep.

So the suffering of residents of that neighborhood are not your problem. Good for you.

To walk North on Columbus Ave., you would have to walk diagonally; sort of cross the street.
Mixed Martial Arts: 1
Black Belt: 0

Everybody was Kung Fu fighting.

The downtown needs to close by midnight. Just start earlier.

Sounds like a perfect idea, maybe they can go back to the past and implement a fire siren whistle that tells everyone that the area is closed and to get out if you don't live there (reminiscent of the early 20th century curfews). Heck, why not by 9PM they should all be closed.

Nah. Midnight would do it. Just stop the serving of alcohol. The rest will take care of itself.
