Sandusky police responded to a car-versus-bicycle crash at Perkins Avenue and Sherman Street Thursday around 4 p.m.

Bicyclist Bruce Tucker, 58, was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center for injuries, though he was conscious and talking after the crash, Officer Les Peters said. Ott Perry, 82, was stopped at a stop sign when Tucker ran his bicycle into the side of Perry’s Mercury Grand Marquis, witnesses told police.

Kroger surveillance video appears to corroborate that account, Lt. Rich Braun said.
