Two Sandusky men are sitting in the Erie County jail after a night of drinking lead to a stabbing early Saturday morning.

Christian Blimka, 20, and Anwar Watson, 36, sit without bond this weekend at the Erie County jail, awaiting their Monday morning court appearance.

Watson was charged with felonious assault, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and failure to disclose information to police when he refused to tell officers his name, despite some of the officers already knowing his name, said Sandusky police Lt. Rich Braun.

Blimka was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and underage drinking.

The fight happened about 6:20 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Perry St.

People remaining at the home told police the two men had been drinking heavily most of the night. The two men started to fight when Watson called Blimka a derogatory name.

Watson grabbed a bottle of alcohol during the fight, in which punches were thrown, and smashed it across Blimka’s back, across his neck and shoulder area, Braun said.

It left a deep gash that required 14 stitches, he said.

Watson had a large bump on his forehead.

Both men were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center and treated before being taken to the jail, Braun said.

Stop It

Let 'em sleep it off. They'll be huggin' each other later tonight and arguing over who gets to buy the next case.

It was just a lovers quarrel.

Good 2 B Me

They do look cute together...

Anwar cheated on Blinka with Jonathon George and this is what happened. Cat fight.

"The two men started to fight when Watson called Blimka a derogatory name."

Charge Watson with a hate crime.

Charge you with hate crime. You clearly deserve the name knucklehead. Why we are at it since Watson who I know personally is gay let's charge blimka with bashing. Sounds just as dumb as you.

The article states that the fight started when Watson called Blimka a derogatory name, NOT the other way around. Sounds to me like you are the ignorant one.

So how is that a hate crime knucklehead. So since he was called a name what name was he called. Just when you make sense on some articles you return to being the ignorant prejudice person you have always been.

I'm not prejudice in the least bit. The article says "derogatory" name. While this is only an assumption, I have to believe derogatory means either something like the term "cracker" or related to his sexuality. One thing is for certain, if it was the white guy who made the "derogatory" remark and then proceeded to beat the black guy down with a beer bottle, you would be calling for his head, and insisting it was a hate crime. You are right though, they both should be in jail, and they are. Sounds more like a mutual fight by two drunks.

When have I ever called anything a hate crime? That has only been said by you and a couple more of your friends who love to race base on here. And you can't be stupid enough to think he called him that anyone with any mind state would think the word would be more of the bit** persuasion that just show where your mind is. And where in the articles did it say who hit who first. You are one of the people who love to talk about shooting someone but who to say because whatever name he was called he could of been getting his a$$ whooped and that is what he had to do to get the guy off him.

Beavis and butthead

Good one rbenn

Wished I could have been there to see that fight. I would have thrown some chains or brass knuckles into the foray and then we can finally see some bloody mugshots for once.

Lock Watson up

Lock them both up.
