Tamar Walls, 25, 700 block Warren St., was arrested on an indictment for aggravated burglary. On March 12 last year, Walls showed up at a home in the 900 block of Decatur St., said he was homeless and needed a place to stay, according to a Sandusky police report. The man said he’d give Walls information about a homeless shelter, when Walls began asking if he knew Jesus. Walls allegedly poked the man in the chest, walked inside, then began punching him repeatedly until he fell to the ground, the report said. Walls later told police the man had invited him inside and made disparaging remarks. He also claimed he struck the man in self-defense. Walls was charged with felonious assault and aggravated burglary, then taken to the Erie County jail. Walls was again arrested Tuesday, after an Erie County grand jury indicted him on those charges.
