A suspicious PT Cruiser tailed a 21-year-old jogger on Cleveland Road Monday evening, according to a Sandusky police report.

The woman was running west in the 1800 block of Cleveland Road when the vehicle passed her twice. When she turned around to head east in the Friendship gas station lot, the Cruiser pulled in behind her, the report said.

The vehicle then passed her a third time, turned around a few blocks down the road and headed back toward her — this time, at a very slow speed.

Frightened, the woman ran into Thirsty Pony and alerted police.

A Sandusky officer drove the woman home, then found the PT Cruiser at Roosevelt Street and Cleveland Road.

The driver, a 53-year-old man, began explaining why he was in the area before the officer ever asked. He said he was traveling back and forth from his daughter’s house, picking up pizza and other supplies for her, the report said.

He acknowledged seeing the jogger but denied following her.

Still sounds weird.

Get a ccw and run with that!

In the interests of personal safety, maybe the young lady should not run along a busy road such as that. There must be alternatives.
Unfortunately, all too many seem to run along busy roads just for the attention. Then object when they attract it.

Stop It

Unbelievable, PP. It's her fault for running where she can be seen?

You must do the same.
The runners always look at you to see if you're paying attention to them.
Even when they're on the sidewalk!
I've seen idiots running on roads marked 40 mph that have no berm and barely big enough for 2 cars, running at night, wearing black!
You may remember it happened by Bay Point a few years back.
So, yeah.
Run in the park, run in the subdivisions, run along the lake, but stay off busy roads!
I don't want to hit your dumb ssa!
