A Sandusky woman was arrested early Sunday morning after she grabbed her teenage daughter by the neck and pulled her hair, police said.

Trisha Lawton, 36, 1800 block Buchanan St., was charged with child endangering and felony domestic violence.

Sandusky police officers went to Lawton’s Cleveland Road hotel room at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday after a man who witnessed the alleged assault called police.

Lawton, who had been consuming vodka and Smirnoff Ice, argued with her 13-year-old daughter and told her to log into Facebook so she could delete all of the girl’s friends, according to a Sandusky police report. When the girl refused, Lawton allegedly put her hand around the girl’s neck, pushed her to the bed and began yanking on her hair. Lawton’s domestic violence charged was upgraded to a felony due to a previous conviction.

Lawton was taken to the Erie County jail, while her daughter was released to a relative of her father’s.

Ok, here's my question! If Lawton lived on Buchanan St, why was she at a hotel on Cleveland Rd. with a man and her daughter. Was she prostituting her daughter to the man and the daughter refused? Where did the guy go when all this went down, out the door instead of helping the girl? Just wondering. Yes, it said he was a witness, but unless he was in room, he couldn't have witnessed it.

The family was temporarily staying at the hotel due to water issues in their home, according to the Sandusky police report.
