Justin Green, 23, 800 block W. Market St., and Kazerick Sanders, 19, 1500 block Brown St., were charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct intoxicated and two counts criminal damaging. A 16-year-old boy, 1100 block First St., was charged with criminal mischief, underage consumption, curfew violation and two counts criminal damaging.

Residents of a Lindsley Street home and a Campbell Street home called police at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after their front windows were vandalized, according to a police report. A ceramic owl had been thrown through one home’s window, and a potted plant had shattered the second home’s window, the report said.

Officers noted a distinct shoe tread pattern in the snow at each house.

A short time later, Green, Sanders and the boy were stopped by Perkins police in the Kroger parking lot, the report said.

The men and boy denied involvement, but Sanders’ and Green’s shoes allegedly matched the prints found at both homes.

Firelands Regional Medical Center workers later contacted police and said the trio had caused a disturbance earlier at the hospital. They allegedly flashed hand gestures inside the building, then rode the parking garage elevator to the top floor, where they scattered numerous informational pamphlets, the report said.

The boy was taken to the Erie County Detention Home, and the two men were released to a sober person.

It's 3 a.m. Do you know where your children are?

Save the taxpayers money, throw them off the hospital parking garage roof instead of arresting them.

There's ZERO excuse for vandalism. Nobody steals and uses anything. Nobody steals and sells anything. While those excuses for theft don't EXCUSE theft, please explain to me just what good comes from destroying other peoples' property? Anybody who destroys things purely for the sake of destruction needs to REPLACE whatever it is they ruined. And they need to do it the hard way: WORK!

These idiots should be sentenced to mop hospital floors and wash bed pans until they've learned something. I think a rate of pay of say, 25 cents an hour, is appropriate. And they can just keep on working until they pay for the window, the lawn ornaments, the court costs, and the police man-hours!

Stop It

Amen, Samantha.

Oh how some would cry that is cruel and unusual punishment. Too harsh. I mean, they didn't HURT anyone. It was a "victimless crime". Just some property damage. Right? They do not know any better. They grew up in a harsh world, no one to teach them. Blah, blah, blah. (please note the WILDLY LAVISH SARCASIM)
