Robert Routh, 18, 500 block 46th St.; Alexis Smith, 18, first block Oakwood Ave., Huron; Paul Grega, 20, 2800 block Hinde Ave.; Shawn Morris Jr., 20, 4900 block Lisbon Circle; and Zachary Quinn, 20, 1300 block W. Monroe St., were each charged with underage consumption.

Officers were called just before midnight on Saturday to a home in the 1300 block of W. Osborne Street, where they heard a woman shouting about alcohol, according to a police report.

When officers knocked on the door, they heard the music turn off and multiple people scurrying up the stairs, the report said.

A woman over the age of 21 answered the door, and soon admitted the four men and one woman who were later arrested had been drinking.

Officers noted the five people who were arrested “were cooperative during the contact,” and none were too intoxicated to require someone else to care for them, the report said.

All five people were issued their charges and allowed to stay at the home.

I don't have a problem with underage drinking, especially when the participants are 18 or older, and compliment the officers and violators for calmly resolving the situation. Nice work Chief Orzech and SPD officers.

Well atleast it wasn't the parents who supplied the alcohol which happens alot
