Dylan Tremaine, 18, 1300 block Ransom St., failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Tyler Street and Hayes Avenue as a Sandusky police officer was driving a cruiser into the intersection at about 2:30 a.m., according to a police report.

The officer avoided the collision and followed Tremaine, who turned onto Tyler Street and struck a crosswalk signal near the intersection. Tremaine smelled of alcohol and told police he was drunk.

He refused to take field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, red light violation and failure to control.

When he later submitted to a breathalyzer test, the results showed he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.163 percent.
