A driver struck a pedestrian at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of W. Madison St.

Sandusky police and firefighters responded to the scene, where a driver turned a vehicle into a driveway, hitting a city meter reader who was working nearby.

The meter reader suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and paramedics transported him by ambulance to Firelands Regional Medical Center.

Sandusky police are referring the incident to the Erie County prosecutor to consider charges, but it does not appear anyone will be cited, Sandusky police Sgt. Eric Graybill said.
