A woman tried to hide from a Perkins police officer who clocked her speeding on Bogart Road Monday afternoon.

Rachael Brock, 25, 1000 block Greenwich Milan Townline Road, Norwalk, was charged with failure to comply with police orders and citedfor driving under suspension and speeding.

An officer was headed west on Bogart Road when he passed Brock heading east at 57 mph at about 2 p.m., according to a police report. When the officer activated his cruiser lights, Brock kept driving while a Sandusky Transit System bus and a second vehicle behind her pulled over.

The officer did a U-turn, passing the bus and other vehicle, but did not spot Brock’s green station wagon. He searched the area, finding Brock in a Shaker Village driveway.

She allegedly tried to back out of sight, but the officer blocked her in. Brock later said she was trying to avoid a ticket.
