It’s that time of year again — time to make sweet dreams a reality for every Erie County child. All next week, Perkins High School freshman Britain Bennett, 14, will collect new pillows and new and gently used pajamas and blankets for area children and teens.

Since 2011, she has gathered the items every spring and fall to donate them to Care and Share. The program, called “Sweet Dreams,” has attracted national attention.

To donate an item, call the Bennett family at 419-202-4349.

They’ll pick up your items at your home and deliver them to Care and Share. In addition to sleepwear and pillows, other household items can also be donated.

So sweet of her to think of others. Continue to be generous and thoughtful. We need more people like you in this world Miss. Bennett.
