A kindergarten teacher has been charged with child endangerment after a surveillance camera appeared to show her pushing one of her students up against a wall and grabbing his face and shirt.

Prosecutors on Monday filed a misdemeanor charge against Barbara Williams. The teacher at Riverdale Local Schools had already been suspended for 10 days after the video was made public last month. School superintendent Eric Hoffman has said he apologized to the parents and called the incident unfortunate. The boy’s parents want the teacher fired. Williams declined to comment Monday.

Her attorney also declined to talk about the charges.

Yeah, she needs something done. The kid would have been expelled and if he was mine a lit more. She just needs to be happy I'm not that kids parent! Bullies are teachers too! Sad!

If you can't deal with brats in a non-physical, non-violent way then you should not be a teacher!

That's maybe a 5 year old? Teachers are supposed to be professional and give a positive appearance for the district, and be role models for students. School is supposed to be a safe place for children.

Interesting comments from the family's lawyer on TV news out of Toledo. He's asking DeWine's office to get involved because he believes the City prosecutor undercharged her with a misdemeanor instead of requesting the county prosecutor refer the case to the Grand jury for a felony.
