A Columbus science museum is making plans to reopen its planetarium.

Officials with COSI, the Center of Science and Industry, said they plan to open the attraction this fall.

The planetarium was closed 10 years ago as the science center struggled with financial problems.

COSI officials told The Columbus Dispatch they are trying to raise $1 million to restore the planetarium and add new digital equipment.

The science center’s president said the planetarium didn’t have state-of-the-art equipment and is in need of an upgrade.

They actually have a Rotor ride like CP used to have but they do not run it because it uses too much electrical power.
