The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said members of the Coventry High School wrestling team hazed and assaulted other team members Feb. 6.

The sheriff’s office said Thursday that a 16-year-old boy faces charges of hazing, assault and abduction, and a 17-year-old boy faces charges of hazing and assault. Authorities said an 18-year-old man was charged with one count of hazing.

The sheriff’s office said the juveniles were booked into the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center, and the adult received a summons for Barberton Municipal Court.

The district said the wrestling coach was suspended and his one-year contract is now over.
