Police arrested Holly Fowler, 26, of Urbana on Saturday night on felony charges of failure to stop after an accident and tampering with evidence.

She’s being held in Logan County jail.

According to The Dayton Daily News, police said Fowler admitted responsibility for hitting Monica Plank,34, of Stafford, Va., on Feb. 16 as she walked from a restaurant in Bellefontaine, northwest of Columbus.

Police said damage on Fowler’s car is consistent with evidence at the scene.

A funeral took place Saturday in West Liberty for Plank, who was married to a fellow Marine gunnery sergeant.

They were in Bellefontaine to visit family.
