Traffic stop yields officer’s stolen gun

Three people have been charged in northeast Ohio in connection with the theft of a police officer’s Glock semiautomatic weapon.

Youngstown police arrested the trio a week ago, and they were locked up after a court appearance.

The weapon belonging to a Boardman police officer was stolen from his girlfriend’s Youngstown home.


According to The Vindicator ofYoungstown, charges against the suspects include carrying a concealed weapon, burglary and possession.

Officers who made the traffic stop for people fighting inside also found an electronic stun gun, police-issued chemical spray and bags of suspected marijuana.

One can only hope they got everything back before it could be used to harm someoe and the one that it was issued to is no longer working for that police dept . It shows a lack of responsiablity on that officer or officers

How is it a lack of responsibility on the officer? The gun was stolen from his girlfriend's home whom he probably gave the pistol to for home defense seeing the kind of area Youngstown is. That's like saying your irresponsible if your home was broken into and a firearm or another weapon was stolen. Insert foot into mouth!
